BR Bourbon Club Meeting 4/24
- Apr 26
- 2 min read
On Thursday, April 24th, our bourbon club gathered for the very first time at The Post Sports Bar & Grill — and what a kickoff it was! With perfect spring weather on our side, ten bourbon enthusiasts came together to share rare bottles, great conversations, and the start of what promises to be an incredible community.
The scene was set with the garage doors wide open to the patio, letting the warm breeze flow through the bar. TVs played the night’s sports action in the background, but it was the chatter and laughter around our table that really brought the place to life.
And of course, the bourbon lineup did not disappoint. We had the pleasure of sampling some truly special bottles:
1969 Ezra Brooks – a true relic and smooth as you could hope for
1982 Old Grand Dad – rich with history and flavor
Weller 107 Antique – a classic that never misses
Seelbach’s Private Reserve – complex and exciting
Heaven Hill Grain to Glass – an incredible showing of craftsmanship
Knob Creek 10 Year Single Barrel – bold and beautifully balanced
Barrel King – powerful, with deep character
Each pour brought out new conversations — from tasting notes and bourbon history to new friendships forming across the table. It wasn’t just about the bourbon (though that was definitely a highlight); it was about the shared passion and the easy camaraderie that seemed to come naturally.
All in all, it was the perfect start. We couldn’t have asked for a better turnout, a better setting, or a better group of people. If this meeting was any indication, we’re in for some amazing times ahead.
Cheers to many more bottles, stories, and memories!
